Founded in 2004 by Lorraine Coppin and Michael Woodley, Ngaarda Media is an independent community broadcaster and media training hub based in Roebourne. It documents, creates and broadcasts local stories that connect ngaarda to culture and family. The service builds strong relationships and shares ngaarda stories with the world. We support a professional team, enable career pathways, invest in evolving technologies, and embrace all media platforms according to best practice. Ngaarda Media’s radio service is broadcast around Australia and throughout the Pilbara region. It’s work has been highly recognised by the media industry, with numerous community radio awards in recent years.
